Screening Process

  • QHow are interviews conducted?
    ACurrently, all interviews are conducted online.
    Depending on the position you are applying for and the selection process, we may consider having a face-to-face interview.
  • QHow does the selection process work?
    ADocument screening → Multiple interviews → Reference Checks (for full-timers) → Job offer.
    * We will ask you to submit a portfolio for certain roles.
  • QI live outside Japan. Can the interview be done online?
    ACurrently, all interviews are conducted online.
  • QCan employees work from outside Japan?
    AUnfortunately, we cannot directly employ anyone residing outside of Japan, but we may be able to commission work through subcontracts.
  • QCan I apply for multiple positions at once?
    AYes, you are more than welcome to apply for multiple positions at the same time.
    However, we will only consider you for one position, so if you have an order of preference, please state it on your job application form.
  • QIf I am not hired, can I reapply?
    AYou may reapply, but please wait until at least one year after your previous application, including for different positions.
    There have been cases where someone who was not hired previously reapplied and was hired after gaining a few years of experience.
  • QDo you provide support for getting a work visa?
    AAfter joining the company, we will provide and submit the necessary documents for you to get a visa.

Work Style

  • QCan I move to a different location for work?
    AIn general, everyone will work out of our Tokyo office.
  • QDo I need to know a certain amount of English before joining?
    AThere are positions in Overseas Sales for instance that require a certain level of English, but English is not required for roles where it is not used.
    Please check each job description for more details.
  • QWhat level of Japanese is required?
    ARoles where Japanese is primarily used require at least business-level Japanese proficiency.
  • QHow often is remote work allowed?
    AWe work on a hybrid schedule consisting of both coming into the office and remote work.
    The frequency of each one depends on each department, so please check with the person in charge of your recruitment process for more details.
  • QIs full remote work allowed?
    AWe make coming to the office the primary option for all employees.
    As we work on a hybrid schedule, everyone will have a mix of remote work and coming to the office.

Employee Welfare

  • QHow does PTO (paid time off) work at COVER?
    AWe provide yearly paid leave according to the number of years someone has been employed.
    In their first fiscal year of employment, employees hired in the first half of the year (April to September) will receive ten days of paid leave in October, while those employed in the second half (October to March) will receive ten days from the following April.
  • QAre side jobs allowed?
    AYou may have a side job once your internal application has been approved.
    In fact, many of our current employees have side jobs.
