Thank you very much for continuously supporting COVER Corporation (hereinafter referred to as "COVER Corp."), hololive production, and especially our talents.
COVER Corp. hereby announces that there has been an apology from an individual (hereinafter referred to as the "perpetrator") regarding the infringement of rights against COVER Corp. and affiliated talents.
The perpetrator, who used copyrighted material without obtaining the proper authorization from COVER Corp. and engaged in conduct that prevented affiliated talents from carrying out their activities safely and in good health, was identified after a lawsuit requesting the disclosure of sender information was filed and approved by the court. It has also come to light that the perpetrator has been involved in other instances of defamation/slander against COVER-affiliated talents in the past (many comments of which have since been deleted).
A settlement was reached with the perpetrator, in which they agreed to deeply apologize for infringing on the rights of COVER Corp. and its affiliated talents, pay any damages that were incurred as a result of their actions, pledge that one will not act in a manner, including any defamatory/slanderous conduct, that infringes upon the rights of COVER Corp. and its affiliated talents, and pay a penalty if found to be in breach of this settlement.
There are currently a number of ongoing legal proceedings with regards to infringement of rights cases, so we plan to provide another update regarding these cases in January 2026.
We will continue to take strict measures to combat cases of defamation, copyright infringement, the sale of counterfeit goods, and other rights infringements to ensure that all talents affiliated with hololive production and fans alike can engage in activities and enjoy content respectively in a safe and secure environment.
