Thank you very much for continually supporting COVER Corporation (hereinafter referred to as "COVER Corp."), hololive production, and especially our talents.
COVER Corp. hereby announces that multiple individuals (hereinafter referred to as the “perpetrators”) who committed acts of rights infringement, including defamation and slander, against COVER Corp. affiliated talents have been identified and settlements have been reached.
In each case, the court granted petitions for the disclosure of the sender information of the perpetrators in question and as a result, settlements were reached in which the perpetrators admitted to and apologized for infringing on talents’ rights, agreed to pay monetary compensation for damages, and provided written assurances not to engage in similar conduct in the future.
Posting of false claims regarding inappropriate conduct
Perpetrators who posted defamatory comments on a social media platform(s), falsely claiming that COVER Corp. talents had acted inappropriately toward a business partner(s) were successfully identified after a lawsuit requesting the disclosure of sender information was filed and approved by the court.
Posting of fabricated images falsely suggesting contract termination
Perpetrators who posted fabricated images on a social media platform(s), falsely implying that the contracts of COVER Corp. talents had been terminated were successfully identified after a lawsuit requesting the disclosure of sender information was filed and approved by the court.
Posting of fabricated images falsely implying defamation of a business partner
Perpetrators who posted fabricated images on a social media platform(s), falsely implying that COVER Corp. talents had made defamatory remarks about a business partner(s) were successfully identified after a lawsuit requesting the disclosure of sender information was filed and approved by the court.
Bomb threat targeting live event venue
Perpetrators who posted a bomb threat on an anonymous message board(s), falsely claiming that the venue of a live performance featuring COVER Corp. talents would be targeted were successfully identified after a lawsuit requesting the disclosure of sender information was filed and approved by the court.
We will continue to take firm action against defamation, slander and other forms of rights infringement to ensure that all talents affiliated with hololive production can engage with fans in a safe and enjoyable environment, including through ongoing support and care for our talents. We respectfully ask for your continued cooperation in fostering a healthy and respectful community - one where fans can support talents with peace of mind, and talents can carry out their activities in a secure and positive manner.
The following conduct is strictly prohibited:
・Any conduct that harms the reputation of COVER Corp. talents
・Any threats of violence, stalking or any other aggressive behavior
・The infringement of COVER Corp. talents’ privacy
・The spreading of false information, disruptive behavior such as trolling, or any other actions that may interfere with talent activities
Such conduct has a serious impact on the well-being of COVER Corp. talents and may hinder their ability to continue their activities.
If any rights-infringing behavior as described above is identified, we will take strict action through not only civil remedies, but also by consulting with law enforcement and pursuing criminal action as necessary.
We sincerely ask for the understanding and cooperation from all of our fans in maintaining a respectful and supportive environment for our VTuber community.
