Thank you for your continued support for COVER Corporation and hololive production.
In addition to the recently released video message from Motoaki Tanigo, CEO of COVER Corporation, we would like to take this opportunity to explain our company's policy on global expansion.
Creating Culture Loved by the World Across Regions
Our company is promoting the expansion of VTuber content globally, not just in Japan. Specifically, under our mission, "Let's Create Culture Loved by All," we aim to provide opportunities for fans worldwide to engage with our content and spread VTubers as a culture loved by even more. We have established VTuber groups in English-speaking regions and Indonesia. Additionally, we recognize that our content, including that of our Japanese groups, is enjoyed globally through various fan creations and secondary content.
We firmly believe that VTubers, through fan creations, are not just content to be enjoyed but also content that transcends creation and fosters further creativity among fans and creators. Starting with highlight videos, VTubers are now active in various forms across multiple platforms, including game production. We consider that we are providing a stage for creators, including the VTubers themselves, to shine. By growing our content to be loved more globally, we can offer more opportunities for creators to thrive worldwide.
Elevating to Entertainment Universally Available Around the World
Global expansion is one of our key strategies. We plan to focus further on North America and Southeast Asia by increasing localized content, products, and service distribution. In these regions, we are actively promoting the distribution of extensively localized content, including not only online but also large-scale local events such as the recently announced world tour.
Our fans exist beyond the regions where we have expanded our groups. For expansion into these areas, we will first advance similar expansions in regions where anime culture has already made significant inroads, such as East Asia and Europe. As a precedent, we have provided multilingual localization for "holo no graffiti (hologra)" series. In addition, we are gradually progressing with activities such as participating in local events and distributing content on local platforms, with the cooperation of talents under the company's leadership.
As the popularity of VTubers grows, collaborations with local companies will increase, providing more opportunities for VTubers and creators similar to those in Japan. Our expansion is essential to elevate them as a form of culture the world loves. We will continue to update you on the progress of these initiatives through releases and our various social media channels.
Risk Management System Around the Clock
In advancing these initiatives, we are simultaneously strengthening our internal structure. We have sincerely acknowledged past shortcomings and have been steadily enhancing our headquarters' capabilities by addressing risks related to counterfeit products and services in various countries and brand reputation issues such as slander and defamation.
As a company that owns VTubers, we have formed an unprecedented 70-member in-house moderation team (as of June 2024) and are conducting moderation for all broadcasts, including post-broadcast. We have also established a system for immediate escalation within the company in observation of signs of risk.
In addition to these measures, we plan to collaborate with local agencies and platforms familiar with the local business and community to address these issues for future local expansions.
“Together, Let’s Create Culture Loved by All”
To reiterate, under our mission, "Let's Create Culture Loved by All," we aim to provide opportunities for fans worldwide to engage with our content and spread VTubers as a culture loved by many. We will continue to conduct our business to achieve this mission.
We sincerely appreciate your continued support and patronage of us and hololive production. Please look forward to our future developments.
