We are continuing to build a platform to bring together unique and diverse content creators
with dazzling abilities while providing a stage for them to perform to the fullest.
We create brand-new experiences of the highest quality by utilizing cutting-edge technologies.
We bring about the best possible 2D entertainment loved by all, transcending age, gender, and
nationality.
To bring all this to fruition, we continue to challenge the norm.
COVER’s discontinuous growth has been backed by a mindset of “challenge”—of proactively taking on challenges and carving out a new future without ever giving up. Taking on challenges more boldly and fearlessly than ever before is crucial in order to continually create new value.
There are limits to what you can achieve by yourself or just with your team. However, if you get out of your comfort zone and take on challenges together with others across team, division, or company boundaries, the possibilities will be endless.
Proactively involve your colleagues and also involve yourself in their affairs in order to leverage each other’s capabilities while still fulfilling your own role. By doing so, you’ll accomplish things that only COVER can achieve.
Nothing comes from being satisfied that you merely “tried.” Focus on the change you want to bring about and your desired outcomes. Use everything you can, including expertise accumulated within the company, and use a more flexible trial-and-error approach instead of clinging to conventional ways of doing things. By sharing the results across the organization, you’ll increase the overall success rate.
As the origin of our name (Communication + Virtual = COVER) suggests, we established our company in June 2016 with the aim of bringing about a future where everyone can communicate through games, concerts, and other entertainment in online virtual spaces.
Ever since September 2017, when our first VTuber debuted, VTubers have become a household name, and our company, hololive production, has grown to have a global fanbase.
We are further promoting VTubers and other elements of Japan’s 2D entertainment to the rest of the world. In addition to our VTuber production, which have been our main content to date, we are also expanding our business into media mix, metaverse, and other diverse areas.
We believe that the Japanese content industry is one of our country’s most attractive features that can be shared with the rest of the world. Along with such appealing content, we are boldly investing in the future in accordance with our value of daring to take action. With a mid-to-long-term perspective in mind, we will continue to strategically develop a succession of businesses in our quest to create a culture that the world loves.
In this way, we aspire to increase the number of moments when people who love Japanese culture and the people of Japan can be proud of this culture.
Together with fans, creators, investors, companies, and everyone else involved in COVER, we will continue to push forward to enliven the 2D entertainment culture originating in Japan. We hope you will continue to follow us in our future endeavors.
